NIGERIA STARTUP BILL: Pantami Addresses Stakeholders

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) today delivered the keynote address at the Nigeria Startup Bill National Stakeholders Roundtable, a Pre-Summit event of the 27th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES) which was held virtually.
The Minister, Prof Pantami in his address appreciated the leadership of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) for the invitation to participate in the gathering aimed at creating an enabling environment for innovation to thrive in Nigeria.
Minister Pantami further stressed the importance of partnership between the private and public sectors towards the development of Nigeria’s Economy.
Prof Pantami also reiterated the importance of developing Nigeria’s Startup Ecosystem, describing startups as the key drivers of economic growth.
“As the Minister responsible for the Communications and Digital Economy sector, I am committed to fulfilling Mr President’s vision of creating an enabling environment that supports the development and growth of tech-enabled businesses", Pantami said. Adding that Such Innovation Driven Enterprises (IDEs) have created so much economic value across the world that they are now gaining a lot of attention and many countries have begun to actively promote IDEs.
