Pantami hosted the Managing Director, NIGERIAN Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited

The Managing Director, NIGERIAN Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Dr Abimbola Alale, was a guest of the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, Nigeria, Isa Ali Pantami PhD, today. Accompanied by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs and Special Project, Mr Adamu Idris, she was there to present a report on the just concluded training on the Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) and the Television Receive Only (TVRO).
In line with the implementation of the National VSAT Policy, the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy had mandated NIGCOMSAT Ltd to train 600 youth in 12 states across the six (6) geopolitical zones of the country, on the installations core skills of the VSAT and TVRO. The states where the trainings held were Anambra, Rivers, Bauchi, Ekiti, Kano, Lagos, Plateau, Abia, Kebbi, Akwa Ibom, Niger and Gombe.
Presenting the report, Dr Alale thanked the Honourable Minister and the Ministry for entrusting NIGCOMSAT with the opportunity to equip the Nigerian youth with digital skills, stating that the impact of the training is already unveiling positively on the youth.
Dr Alale also presented a status report on the e-NHIS ISystems Development and Infrastructure Upgrade project currently being implemented by NIGCOMSAT for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
